Teen Acne and Aloe Vera

Posted by: aloevera

Acne can be devastating when you are a teen, especially during the time when looking perfect is all important. Acne is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the facial follicles. Most people outgrow this malady by their early to late 20’s, except for a possible outbreak or two in later years.

Aloe vera can help in reducing the severity of a teen acne outbreak, thus reduce scarring. It strengthens the body’s immune system and helps the body’s natural defenses to work correctly. By using aloe vera, the body is able to control itself and help the immune system fight problems such as a case of acne.

The anti-inflammatory properties help with getting rid of the inflammatory byproduct of acne. Thus the severity and frequency of an acne outbreak is greatly reduced.

Using an aloe vera product on a daily basis as part of an overall routine will help keep the skin clean and dry. An aloe vera lotion will moisturize the skin and reduce oil production. This will contribute to a healthy skin. A truly healthy skin should be the ultimate goal of any teen. Acne is part of growing up and eventually this skin problem does go away. Being conscious of an acne problem will not make the acne go away. More is needed and that is where aloe vera comes to the rescue.

Teenagers are young, sensitive and very conscious of their appearance. So before that first zit makes its appearance, a healthy dose of aloe vera and good hygiene will hopefully keep those zits from every appearing and a healthy immune system intact.
